What Online: 404 is
Online: 404 is an open-world survival simulator from Cornfield Games. It is set in the Leminsgale district, an area that was sealed off and quarantined years ago after an unexplained disaster drove the people living there mad. You go in and try to survive.
What makes it different is how modern it feels. Instead of a medieval axe-and-campfire setting, this is a present-day town, and the game's own description reminds you not to forget your most important gadget: your phone. The developers pitch it as a survival game that makes even genre veterans rethink their usual approach, with a focus on how people might really cope with isolation and shortages today. You can follow the story or just explore, alone or with friends.
What happens in this series
This is the newest series on the channel. The first episode is about getting through the quarantine at all: learning what kills you here and what the district has to offer. In the second, the stash had outgrown what one person can carry, so it was time to build a proper base.
Both episodes have quickly become two of the stronger videos on the channel, so more are on the way. This page will grow with the series, and the playlist link below always has the newest episode.
Where to start
Start with “Can I Survive the Quarantine?”. It sets up the district and the rules, and the base-building episode carries straight on from it.
Why it fits the channel
Most of the games covered here are about rebuilding after things fall apart: scavenging, deciding what is worth the risk, and slowly turning a dangerous place into somewhere you can hold. Online: 404 asks the same questions in a modern setting, which makes it an interesting change from forests, frozen wastelands and zombie-filled small towns.
